Matt "Chipper" Riddle (born January 14, 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist training out of Arizona Combat Sports.

He stands 6 ft. 1 in. (185 cm) tall and fights in the welterweight division (170 lbs.).

Riddle was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest and currently competes as a welterweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Matt Riddle earned a spot as one of 32 contestants on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampages vs. Team Forrest without a professional bout to his name but a 1-0 Amateur record and an accomplished grappling career. Riddle faced Matt Serra student, Dan Simmler to get into the house and flattened him with a huge punch in the second round and some follow up strikes that broke his jaw in two places.

In the round of 16 stage, Riddle faced the much more experienced, Tim Credeur on episode 4. Riddle gave Credeur a lot of trouble as he threw heavy strikes on the feet and took him down at will. After rocking him in the third round, Riddle went for what was deemed in hindsight to be an unwise takedown. Credeur managed to reverse Riddle and submitted him with an armbar just before the end of round 2.

At The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale on June 21, 2008, Riddle faced fellow show contestant, Dante Rivera in his professional MMA debut who he had a heated rivalry with on the show. Riddle dominated the IFL veteran in all areas, eventually taking out a unanimous decision win to earn his first professional victory.

Riddle was supposed to get his post-TUF, UFC career underway at UFC 91 where was to make his welterweight debut against Ryan Thomas but an injury forced him out of the bout. Instead, Riddle faced American Top Team's Steve Bruno at UFC Fight Night 17 and picked up his second victory from as many fights as he scored a unanimous decision win.

Riddle will return at UFC 101 when he faces fellow TUF 7 contestant, Dan Cramer on the show's undercard.
