Profile
Jason "Strangebrew" Thacker is a Canadian professional mixed martial artist.
He is a veteran from The Ultimate Fighter Season 1 and fought as a middleweight (185 lbs.) in one fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Ultimate Fighter
Thacker had no prior professional mixed martial arts experience before appearing on The Ultimate Fighter Season 1 as a light heavyweight contestant. He was selected last to be a member of Randy Couture's team and was eliminated by Couture after Team Couture lost the first middleweight challenge. The general consensus being that Thacker's skill set was not at the level it needed to be.
Thacker was given the oppurtunity to make his professional mixed martial arts debut on The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale against Chris Leben. The fight was dubbed as somewhat of a grudge match after a drunken Leben had pissed or "spritzed" on Thacker's pillow in one of the earlier episodes of the show.
Leben defeated Thacker via TKO at 1.35 of round 1 in a dominant performance. After the fight Leben apologized to Thacker for spritzing.
Thacker has not fought since The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale.
