Pre-Event Notes
UFN 13 was the UFC's first trip back to Colorado since Ultimate Ultimate 1995 on December 16, 1995.
The show acted as a lead in to The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest, the seventh season of popular MMA reality show, The Ultimate Fighter.
TUF 3's Matt Hamill was originally to face TUF 1 finalist, Stephan Bonnar but a knee injury forced a replacement which came in the form of Tim Boetsch.
After Spencer Fisher had to pull out of his bout with Marcus Aurelio, the UFC tried to match Aurelio up with the tough, Jim Miller. Miller was unable to fight however due to his outstanding contract with the IFL and instead, UFC virgin Ryan Roberts stepped up.
