Background

UFC Fight Night 1 (aka Ultimate Fight Night 1 and UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Salaverry) was an 8-bout fight card held on August 6, 2005 at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The card aired lived on SpikeTV and was headlined by a middleweight bout between three-time middleweight King of Pancrase, Nate Marquardt against highly regarded veteran, Ivan Salaverry.
