Background
UFC 59: Reality Check was a 9-bout fight card that was held on April 15, 2006 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California.
The card aired live on pay-per-view and was headlined by a heavyweight championship bout between champion, Andrei Arlovski and former champion, Tim Sylvia.

Pre-Event Notes
Justin Levens replaced an injured Jeremy Horn against Evan Tanner.
Drew Fickett was the original opponent for Thiago Alves but withdrew due to injury and was replaced by UFC newcomer, Derrick Noble.

- Heavyweight Championship Bout: Tim Sylvia defs. Andrei Arlovski via TKO (punches) at 2:43 of round 1 to become the new UFC heavyweight champion.
Arlovski dropped Sylvia heavily early but when he returned to his feet Arlovski's defense got lax and he was knocked down by Sylvia and eventually stopped with unanswered punches.
