Background

The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale was a 10-bout fight card that was held on June 21, 2008 at The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The card aired live on Spike TV at 9pm ET/PT and decided the winner of TUF 7's middleweight tournament.

A middleweight match-up between former UFC middleweight champion, Evan Tanner and TUF 3 middleweight winner, Kendall Grove acted as the main event of the evening.

Pre-Event Notes

This event was originally an 11-bout fight card but a middleweight bout between TUF 7 contestants, Tim Credeur and Cale Yarbrough was cancelled just prior to the bout due to Credeur testing positive for the banned substance, Adderall.

Sadollah was meant to face Jesse Taylor in the middleweight final, but after Taylor was kicked out following a drunken rampage in a Las Vegas hotel, CB Dollaway defeated Tim Credeur in a reserve bout to earn his place in the final.

In the past six seasons of TUF this is the lowest number of recalled fighters from the show (5).
