Pre-Event Notes

The Ben Saunders/Dan Barrera fight was a rematch from a fight they had on the show that ended in somewhat controversial decision.

Paul Georgieff would have faced Blake Bowman on the undercard, however a knee injury sustained to Bowman on the show forced his withdrawal. Jonathan Goulet stepped up in his place.

In a "Fight of the Year" candidate, Huerta was down on the scorecards going into the third round after having been controlled by Guida's wrestling and even dropped in the second round with punches. Huerta opened the third with some heavy knees and kicks that dazed Guida. Huerta took Guida's back from a scramble and sank in the choke to force the tap.
