Background

Sengoku: Eighth Battle is the ninth installment of Japanese promotion's, World Victory Road's "Sengoku" series and a 10 bout fight card.

The card will take place in the Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan on May 2, 2009 and will the quarter finals of Sengoku's 16-man featherweight (143 lbs.) tournament.

A featherweight quarter final bout between Hatsu Hioki and Ronnie Mann will serve as the main event.
