Pre-Event Notes
Both, Satoru Kitaoka and Jorge Santiago earned their title shots with victories in Sengoku's 8-man lightweight and middleweight tournaments.
The lightweight tournament in which Kitaoka was victorious was billed as "The Road to Gomi", meaning the winner of the tournament would face Takanori Gomi for the Sengoku lightweight title. However, plans seemed to go amiss when Gomi suffered a shock loss to Sergey Golyaev at Sengoku: Sixth Battle (the event that also featured the tournament finals). This was put aside though and Kitaoka was still set to face Gomi for the lightweight title.
Antonio Silva's fight against Yoshihiro Nakao will be his first bout after getting convicted of using illegal substances by the California State Athletic Commission. Silva went against the warnings of the CSAC that if he fought outside of the country he may not be able to receive a fighter license upon return to the US.

Santiago changed it up in the fifth and scored a takedown before passing to mount and eventually Misaki's back. He quicky latched onto the rear naked choke, which Misaki tried hard to fight but eventually succumbed to unconsciousness. With the victory, Santiago was crowned the first ever Sengoku middleweight champion.
- Lightweight Championship Bout: Satoru Kitaoka def. Takanori Gomi via submission (achilles lock) at 1.41 of round 1.
For the first minute of the bout, both fighters kept their distance and circled. Shortly thereafter a scramble ensued after Kitaoka shot in for a takedown. Gomi briefly took Kitaoka's back but was reversed, putting Kitaoka into his guard. From there Kitaoka spun around and latched onto a leg. Gomi grew impatient and sat back causing more pressure to be applied on the submission, quickly forcing the tap. With the victory, Kitaoka became the first Sengoku lightweight champion.
