Rob "The Rosedale Reaper" Kimmons (born January 30, 1981) is an American professional mixed martial artist and third degree American Jiu Jitsu black belt training out of Xtreme Couture.

He stands 5 ft. 10 in. (178 cm) tall and fights in the middleweight division (185 lbs.).

Kimmons is a former WEC middleweight title challenger, and currently fights as a middleweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Rob Kimmons made his professional mixed martial arts debut on November 21, 2003 for the HOOKnSHOOT promotion. He knocked out David Webster in the first round to notch his first professional win.

After two more first round victories in 2004, Kimmons faced Joe Riggs for the vacant World Extreme Cagefighting middleweight title in May of 2005. Riggs forced Kimmons to submit to punches 1:24 into the fight, giving Kimmons his first defeat.

Kimmons bounced back from the loss under a month later as he stopped James Wade with punches in the first round. He closed out 2005 with a guillotine choke submission win over Dan Rau.

2006 was a successful year for Kimmons as he fought eight times going a respectable 7-1. Included amongst those fighters were a win over TUF 2's Kenny Stevens and a submission loss to future UFC competitor, Ryan Jensen.

Kimmons opened 2007 with five successive wins over lower level opponents with all of the victories coming via either submission or TKO in the first round.

In July of 2007, Kimmons faced UFC veteran, Marvin Eastman for the International Fighting Organization's (IFO) middleweight title. After five, five minute rounds Eastman was adjudged the unanimous decision victor.

Kimmons dropped down to the welterweight division two months later in order to face Tristan Yunker for the IFO's welterweight title. After some heated pre-fight talk, Kimmons overwhelmed Yunker early and submitted him with a rear naked choke in 2:55 of round 1.

By the end of April, 2008, Kimmons had pushed his record to 20-3 with two more first round victories.

UFC

In June, 2008, Kimmons earned a call-up to the UFC to face Rob Yundt on the undercard of The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale. Kimmons scored his first UFC victory quickly as he submitted Yundt with a guillotine choke in 3:58 of round 1.

Three months later at UFC Fight Night 15, Kimmons faced IFL middleweight champion, Dan Miller on the undercard. The bout was over quickly as Miller secured Kimmons' back and choked him out at the 1:27 mark of round 1.

Kimmons got back on track in April of 2009 when he faced Joe Vedepo on UFC Fight Night 18. Kimmons grabbed a hold of Vedepo's neck in a scramble and torqued a deep guillotine choke that rendered Vedepo unconscious earning him "Submission of the Night" honors.
