Mitsuhiro "Endless Fighter" Ishida (born December 29, 1978) is a Japanese professional mixed martial artist who fights out of the T-Blood camp.

He stands 5 ft. 6 in. (168 cm) tall and fights in the lightweight (154 lbs.) division.

Ishida is a PRIDE veteran and was a quarter finalist in DREAM's 2008 Lightweight Grand Prix. He currently fights as a lightweight for the DREAM and Strikeforce organizations.

Shooto

Mitsuhiro Ishida made his professional mixed martial arts debut on July 6, 2001 at Shooto: To The Top 6, against future PRIDE competitor, Daisuke Sugie. Ishida was defeated via unanimous decision after two rounds.

In September of 2001, Ishida picked up his first professional victory when he defeated Hiroki Kotani via unanimous decision at Shooto: To The Top 9.

Ishida went undefeated in his next six fights, with five victories which included his first stoppage victory, over Naoto Kojima.

On July 9, 2004, Ishida suffered his second defeat as he went down via unanimous decision to talented Brazilian grappler, Vitor Ribeiro.

Ishida rebounded from the Ribeiro loss with a victory over Daisuke Sugie, in a match that avenged his MMA debut unanimous decision loss.

Ishida rolled off three more victories, two of which via TKO, before being signed by the PRIDE Fighting Championships.

PRIDE

At PRIDE: Bushido 10, Ishida made his debut against Paul Rodriguez, who he quickly submitted with a guillotine choke at just 2:29 of round 1.

Two months later, Ishida impressively defeated Marcus Aurelio, who had just come off a submission win over PRIDE lightweight kingpin Takanori Gomi, via unanimous decision at PRIDE: Bushido 11.

Ishida scored a unanimous decision over another high quality Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt at PRIDE: Bushido 12 in Chute Boxe BJJ trainer, Cristiano Marcello.

In Ishida's fifth fight of 2006, he faced and defeated David Bielkheden via unanimous decision at PRIDE: Bushido 13.

In his last bout for the PRIDE organization, Ishida was destroyed by Takanori Gomi at PRIDE: Shockwave 2006 on New Year's Eve 2006. Gomi flattened Ishida with soccer kicks and punches at just the 1:14 mark of round 1.

DREAM and Strikeforce

On December 31, 2007, Ishida competed at Yarennoka!, an event put on by former Dream Stage Entertainment executives in an event that was dubbed as a farewell to fans of PRIDE.

Ishida was matched up against the undefeated, Gilbert Melendez where he picked up the biggest win of his career as he continously scored takedowns on Melendez for the full 15 minutes before being awarded the unanimous decision victory.

Shortly after Yarennoka!, Ishida signed with newly created Japanese promotion, DREAM and was added to their 16-man 2008 Lightweight Grand Prix. In the opening round held at DREAM 1, Ishida faced and defeated judoka Bu Kyung Jung via unanimous decision after two rounds.

Two months later at DREAM 3, Ishida faced off against Caol Uno in the quarter final stage of the tournament. Ishida controlled the pace of the first round but in the second he was unexpectedly caught in a rear naked choke by Uno from a scramble and forced to tapout at 1:39 of the round.

Following his disappointing exit from the DREAM tournament, Ishida signed to fight with the US based, Strikeforce promotion. He made his Strikeforce debut at their second show to be held at the Playboy Mansion. In an impressive finish, Ishida submitted opponent, Justin Wilcox with an armbar at 1:21 of round 1.

Ishida kicked off 2009, with a return to the DREAM organization at DREAM 7 where he defeated Daisuke Nakamura via unanimous decision after two rounds.
