Profile

Micah Miller (born February 14, 1987) is an American professional mixed martial artist who trains out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida.

He stands 6 ft. 0 in. tall and fights in the featherweight division (145 lbs.).

Miller is a veteran of the World Extreme Cagefighting organization and currently fights as a featherweight (139 lbs.) for the DREAM organization.

Micah is the younger brother of UFC lightweight, Cole Miller.

Early Career

Micah Miller made his professional mixed martial arts debut at an International Sport Combat Federation event on April 28, 2006. He fought Larry Landry to a No Contest in the first round to get his career off to a false start.

Under two months later, Miller returned to combat at a Full Throttle event against Forrest Letellier. He defeated Letellier via rear naked choke submission at 1:56 of round 2.

In July of 2006 he picked up a triangle choke victory over Jesse Williams and then another triangle choke victory against the man he fought to a No Contest in his debut, Larry Landry.

Miller picked up his first KO win in his next bout as he stopped Derek Collins in the first round.

Miller rounded out 2006 with a triangle choke submission victory over Josh Lee and then began 2007 with a second round TKO over Josh Kukuk in February.

WEC

With his undefeated 6-0-0 (1 NC) start to his career, Miller was signed to a contract with the ZUFFA operated, WEC.

Miller made his WEC debut at WEC 26 against Jesse Moreng and improved his winning streak to 7 with a triangle choke submission victory in the third round.

At WEC 28, Miller suffered the first professional loss of his career as he went down in a unanimous decision to Cub Swanson.

Taking a fight outside the WEC to boost his confidence back up, Miller defeated Steve Kinnison in a Premier Xtreme Fighting event in December of 2007.

With his confidence back, Miller faced off against former WEC featherweight title challenger, Chance Farrar at WEC 32. Miller impressed greatly as he knocked Farrar cold in just 1:39 of round 1.

At WEC 35, Miller was unfortunately on the other end of a quick beating as he faced John Grispi. Miller was dropped early and although he didn't look to be in immediate danger, the fight was stopped 50 seconds in as Grispi wailed away with ground and pound. Miller protested the stoppage but the damage had been done.

DREAM

Following the loss to Grispi, Miller sought fights outside of the WEC. His first fight since the TKO loss came against Jason Palacious for the Close Quarters Combat organization in which he prevailed via rear naked choke in the second round.

Instead of returning to the WEC, Miller instead signed to be one of the fifteen participants in the 2009 DREAM Featherweight (139 lbs.) Grand Prix. Miller will face former WEC bantamweight title challenger, Yoshiro Maeda in the opening round at DREAM 7 on March 8, in Saitama, Japan.
