Mark "The Philippine Wrecking Machine" Munoz (born February 9, 1978) is an American/Filipino professional mixed martial artist and a former 2001 NCAA Div. 1 National Champion Wrestler and 2 time NCAA All American from Oklahoma State.

He stands 6 ft. tall and fights in the light heavyweight division (205 lbs.).

He is a veteran of World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and currently fights as a light heavyweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early MMA Career

Mark Munoz made his professional mixed martial arts debut on July 19, 2007 against Austin Achorn for the Palace Fighting Championships. Munoz picked up a quick TKO victory.

A little over two months later, Munoz defeated Mike Prince at a Gladiator Challenge event before picking up a unanimous decision victory over Tony Rubaclava at another event held by the Palace Fighting Championships.

WEC

Based on his solid wrestling background, and the undefeated start to his professional career, Munoz was picked up by the ZUFFA controlled, WEC organization.

Munoz made his WEC debut at WEC 34 in June of 2008 on the show's main card. He faced the tough, Chuck Grisby. Munoz impressed as he scored a TKO victory at 4:15 of round 1.

That victory was followed by another TKO, this time over the lesser experienced, Ricardo Barros at WEC 37 in December of 2008.

UFC Career

Following ZUFFA's decision to dissolve the WEC's light heavyweight and middleweight divisions into the UFC, Munoz was officially transferred over to the UFC roster.

He will make his UFC debut at UFC 96 when he faces another accomplished wrestler in TUF 3 veteran, Matt Hamill.
