UFC

The impressive start to his career earned Bocek a contract with the UFC. He made his UFC debut at UFC 73 against undefeated lightweight, Frankie Edgar. Bocek was battered by Edgar losing via TKO just before the end of the first round.

Bocek rebounded from his first career loss at UFC 79 when he defeated tough Alaskan, Doug Evans via unanimous decision in a lacklustre bout.

Seven months later at UFC 91, Bocek faced fellow Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt, Alvin Robinson. Bocek looked much improved in the bout as he dominated Robinson positionally two and a half rounds, finally submitting him with a rear naked choke.

Returning to Canada at UFC 97, Bocek faced another Brazlian jiu jitsu black belt in David Bielkheden. Bocek monstered Bielkheden in the fight as he continously secured advantageous positions and pounded away on the Brazilian Swede. With under ten seconds left in the round Bocek secured Bielkheden's back and tapped him quickly with a rear naked choke.
