Early Career

LC Davis made his professional mixed martial arts debut on February 25, 2006 at Victory Fighting Championships 12. He faced Nick Wright and defeated Wright with punches in the second round.

Davis spent the next five fights of his career fighting in the Titan Fighting Championships promotion based out of Kansas. He went 5-0 in the promotion winning all five fights in under three minutes by either TKO or submission.

IFL and Affliction

In May of 2007, Davis made his debut for the International Fight League. He faced Jay Estrada in his debut and defeated Estrada via guillotine choke in the second round.

A TKO victory in the TFC organization two months later followed his successful IFL debut but after that he was back in IFL action facing off against Conor Heun. Davis kept his unblemished record alive with a split decision victory over Heun after three rounds.

On December 19, 2007, Davis faced Wagnney Fabiano for the vacant IFL featherweight championship. Davis suffered the first professional loss of his career when he was submitted by the jiu jitsu ace with an armbar at 3:38 of round 1.

Davis quickly rebounded from the loss winning via head kick knockout in his next bout against Rafael Dias in April of 2008.

The Dias victory marked his last appearance for the IFL as the promotion went under shortly after. Following the IFL's demise Davis was supposed to take on Hiroyuki Takaya at WEC 35 in August as a late replacement for Cub Swanson. However, Takaya turned the bout down and then shortly after Davis strangely signed a non-exclusive three fight contract with Affliction Entertainment.

Davis kept busy in the interim by defeating Josh Bernal in September and then Billy Kidd in December by bulldog choke submission at Adrenaline MMA 2.

On January 24, 2009, Davis made his Affliction debut at Affliction: Day of Reckoning. Originally supposed to face UFC veteran, Mark Hominick an injury forced his removal and he was instead replaced by former EliteXC title challenger, Bao Quach. Davis picked up a unanimous decision victory against the game Quach after three rounds.

Sengoku

Shortly after defeating Quach, Davis was announced as one of 16 entrants in Japan based,Sengoku's 16-man Featherweight Grand Prix.

Davis faced off against UFC veteran Michihiro Omigawa in the opening round at Sengoku: Seventh Battle. Many thought Davis would have gone far in the tournament based on his impressive past performances but he would make it out of the first round of the tournament as Omigawa's persistent takedowns and ground control forced him out of the competition unanimously on the judges' scorecards.
