"Big" John McCarthy is a very well-known former MMA referee who officiated from 1994 to 2007. He presided over 500+ MMA matches worldwide during this time.
His signature "Let's get it on!" line, which he used to kick off MMA bouts, is well known among fans.
In May 2007, joined The Fight Network as a commenter and MMA analyst. He retired from the UFC in December 2007.
