Jason "The Hitman" Brilz (born x, 1976) is an American professional mixed martial artist and King of the Cage veteran.

He stands 5 ft. 11 in. (180 cm) tall and fights in the light heavyweight division (205 lbs.).

Brilz currently competes as a light heavyweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Jason Brilz made his professional mixed martial arts debut on March 2, 2000 for the Gladiators promotion. He submitted his opponent, Mitch Rosland, with a kimura to notch his first professional win.

After four more stoppage victories, Brilz suffered defeat for the first time when he was submitted with an armbar by Vince Feilds in September of 2001.

Brilz bounced back from the loss to earn a decision and submission win in his next two respective bouts.

In April of 2003, Brilz fought to a draw with future heavyweight title challenger, Justin Eilers.

By the end of 2006, Brilz had racked up seven more victories which included a stoppage win over Mike Patt, a split decision win over Jason MacDonald and a submission win over Alex Schoenauer.

After taking 2007 off, Brilz returned to action in 2008 with a rear naked choke submission win over Erik Jenks to push his record to 15-1-1.

UFC Career

Shortly after the Jenks victory, Brilz signed to fight with the UFC. He made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 15 in Omaha, Nebraska. He faced Australian, Brad Morris and dominated the bout - winning via TKO midway through the second round.

Six months later, Brilz returned to the octagon on the undercard of UFC 96. He faced IFL veteran, Tim Boetsch and after a troublesome first round used his wrestling and ground control to outwork Boetsch for the last two, taking home a unanimous decision victory.
