MMA Career

Gina "Conviction" Carano (born April 16, 1982), also known as "Crush" on American Gladiators, turned pro after amassing an impressive 12-1-1 record in Muay Thai fights. And on June 10, 2006 Carano made her debut, with a KO win, handing Leiticia Pestova the first loss of her career in a mere 0:39.

Then at World Pro Fighting Championship's inaugural event, she bested Rosi Sexton, earning a second knockout victory. And, thereby, becoming the winner of the first-ever sanctioned female MMA match to be held in Nevada.

After winning her first couple of bouts, "Conviction" drew the attention of ProElite sports, and she signed on with them under their Strikeforce banner. Victorious once again, this time winning a unanimous decision over Elaina Maxwell, Gina was promoted to the EliteXC brand.

Since then Gina Carano has become the face of female Mixed Martial Arts, and poster woman for EliteXC. While fighting for that organization Carano has garnered a 3-0 record, bringing her total to 6-0. She has wins over notable fighters such as Julie Kedzie, and "CagePotato's Favorite Drunken Lesbian" Tonya Evinger. (pictured below, copping a feel)

"Conviction" is set to face Kelly Kobald on EliteXC's next CBS broadcast.
