Evan "The Kid" Dunham (born December 18, 1981) is an American professional mixed martial artist training out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He stands 5 ft. 10 in. (178 cm) tall and fights in the lightweight division (185 lbs.).
Dunham currently competes as a lightweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Early Career
Evan Dunham made his professional mixed martial arts debut for the Gladiator Challenge promotion on April 14, 2007. He defeated his opponent, Gabriel Martinez, via decision after two rounds.
Two weeks later, Dunham returned to the ring to face Nassor Lewis in an event based out of Oregon. He defeated Lewis via armbar submission in 1:16 of round 1.
Dunham fought three more times in 2007, winning all three bouts via submission.
He opened 2008 with a TKO victory over Eben Kaneshiro and in early 2009 had one fight for the Palace Fighting Championships. He submitted Dustin Akbari with a rear naked choke in his PFC debut to push his record to a flawless, 7-0.
UFC Career
Just under a month after submitting Akbari, Dunham found himself replacing David Baron against Per Eklund at UFC 95. Dunham was all over Eklund in the bout, eventually knocking him down and eventually out with punches at 2:13 of round 1.
Dunham will return to the Octagon at UFC 102 when he faces off against Matt Veach on the show's undercard.
