Ed "9mm" Ratcliff (born March 5, 1983) is an American professional mixed martial artist training out of Und1sputed Team Hurricane Awesome.

He stands 5 ft. 10 in. (178 cm) tall and fights in the lightweight division (155 lbs.).

Ratcliff currently fights as a lightweight for the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) organization.

Early Career

Ed Ratcliff made his professional mixed martial arts debut on July 30, 2005 for the Total Combat promotion. He submitted his opponent, Josh Olivas, with an armbar in the first round.

Just under five months later, Ratcliff picked up his first knockout victory as he sent Brett Cooper into unconsciousness with a kick in the second round of their bout.

In his only two bouts of 2006, Ratcliff scored two second round stoppages, upping his record to 4-0.

WEC

Early into 2007, Ratcliff signed to the WEC and made his debut at WEC 27 against Johnny Sampaio. The bout ended in an anti-climax though as the bout was stopped a minute and a half in as Sampaio suffered a knee injury giving Ratcliff the TKO victory.

At WEC 31, Ratcliff was matched up against TUF 1's Alex Karalexis. Ratcliff recorded the most notable victory to date in his career as he ended Karalexis' night via TKO shortly into the second round.

In his first bout for 2008, 9mm faced Marcus Hicks at WEC 33. Ratcliff would suffer his first professional defeat however as he fell victim to Hicks' trademark guillotine choke just under two minutes into the first frame.

After a year and five month break from competition, Ratcliff returned to action against Phil Cardella at WEC 42. He outpointed Cardella over three rounds to take a unanimous decision.
