Pre-Event Notes

A lightweight championship bout between champ, Joachim Hansen and Shinya Aoki was rumored for this card but the bout did not come to fruition with Aoki being assigned a new opponent.

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic was rumored to be returning to DREAM after his UFC 99 bout in Germany to face K-1 fighter, Siala "Mighty Mo" Siliga. This bout was nixed when it was discovered that Cro Cop had re-signed with the UFC.

A middleweight bout between Zelg Galesic and Andrews Nakahara was rumored for this card but it is unclear as to whether the bout has been scrapped or simply rescheduled.

Results

Zaromskis avoided some early High groundwork to get the fight back to the feet where he landed his second crushing head kick of the night that knocked High out cold. Some unnecessary follow-up punches had Zaromskis crowned the 2009 DREAM Welterweight Tournament and the DREAM welterweight champion.
