Background
Dream 10: Welterweight Grand Prix 2009 Final Round is an 8-bout fight card that is set to take place on July 20, 2009 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The card will be broadcast live on HDNet and will feature the final of DREAM's 2009 Welterweight Grand Prix as its main event.

Pre-Event Notes
A lightweight championship bout between champ, Joachim Hansen and Shinya Aoki was rumored for this card but the bout did not come to fruition with Aoki being assigned a new opponent.
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic was rumored to be returning to DREAM after his UFC 99 bout in Germany to face K-1 fighter, Siala "Mighty Mo" Siliga. This bout was nixed when it was discovered that Cro Cop had re-signed with the UFC.
A middleweight bout between Zelg Galesic and Andrews Nakahara was rumored for this card but it is unclear as to whether the bout has been scrapped or simply rescheduled.

- Welterweight Grand Prix Semi-Final Bout: Marius Zaromskis defs. Hayato Sakurai via TKO (head kick and punches) at 4:03 of round 1.
- Welterweight Grand Prix Semi-Final Bout: Jason High defs. Andre Galvao via split decision.
- Lightweight Bout: Katsunori Kikuno defs. Andre Amade via TKO (punches) at 3:47 of round 1.
- Middleweight Bout: Paulo Filho defs. Melvin Manhoef via submission (armbar) at 2:36 of round 1.
- Middleweight Bout: Jesse Taylor defs. Dong Sik Yoon via submission (foot injury) at 1:02 of round 1.
- Lightweight Bout: Shinya Aoki defs. Vitor Ribeiro via unanimous decision.
- Welterweight Grand Prix Final Bout: Marius Zaromskis defs. Jason High via KO (head kick) at 2:22 of round 1.
Zaromskis avoided some early High groundwork to get the fight back to the feet where he landed his second crushing head kick of the night that knocked High out cold. Some unnecessary follow-up punches had Zaromskis crowned the 2009 DREAM Welterweight Tournament and the DREAM welterweight champion.
