Danillo "Indio" Villefort (born x, 1983) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt training out of American Top Team.

He stands 6 ft. 1 in. (185 cm) tall and fights in the welterweight division (170 lbs.).

Villefort is an IFL and WEC veteran and currently competes as a welterweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Danillo Villefort made his professional mixed martial arts debut for the Brazil based, Conquista Fight promotion on April 2, 2005. He faced Beto Beto and submitted him with an armbar in quick order.

Villefort fought his next four bouts in Brazil with the last bout resulting in the first loss of his professional career as he was stopped on punches by Rafael Natal in the first round.

That loss was compounded five months later as he was defeated in his debut in America by Todd Carney via TKO (punches) in the third round.

Villefort halted the two fight slide when he kicked off 2007 in July with a kimura submission win over Clayton McKinney.

In October, Villefort avenged one of his previous losses as he stopped Carney with punches in the second round to improve to 6-2.

After a submission win in March of 2008, Villefort made his IFL debut in May. He faced Mike Massenzio and submitted the "Master of Disaster" with a kneebar in 3:25 of round 1.

The win earned Villefort a contract with the ZUFFA owned and operated, World Extreme Cagefighting. He made his WEC debut at WEC 38 in January of 2009, where he met Mike Campbell. Villefort was impressive as he stopped Campbell with punches 3:53 into round 1.

UFC

Following the decision by ZUFFA to fold the WEC's welterweight and middleweight divisions into the UFC, Villefort was brought over to compete in the world's premiere MMA organization. He will make his debut at UFC 101 when he faces fellow UFC newcomer, Jesse Lennox.
