Profile

Dale "The Demon" Hartt (born x, 1979) is an American professional mixed martial artist training under Marcus Davis.

He stands 5 ft. 10 in. (178 cm) tall and fights in the lightweight division (155 lbs.).

Hartt currently competes as a lightweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Dale Hartt made his professional mixed martial arts debut on December 11, 2004 against Gary Bonenfant at a Mass Destruction event. He defeated Bonenfant via submission to make his debut a successful one.

Hartt fought once a year for the next three years, winning all three fights via TKO in the second round.

In March of 2008, Hartt improved to 5-0 after he forced Keith Ferreira to submit to strikes 1:35 into their fight.

UFC

Hartt was called up on short notice in July of 2008 to make his UFC debut on UFC Fight Night 14 - a card created on short notice to directly compete with Affliction Entertainment's first MMA offering, Affliction: Banned.

Hartt faced fellow UFC debutant, Shannon Gugerty and was defeated by rear naked choke in 3:33 of round 1.

In December of 2008, at UFC: Fight for the Troops, Hartt looked to bounce back from his first career loss against TUF 5's Corey Hill. After a close first round things got fairly sickening in the second. Hill threw a leg kick which Hartt checked and in the process shattered Hill's leg. The leg folded under Hill as he put his weight back on it and the fight was stopped shortly after giving Hartt the unfortunate TKO victory.

At UFC 99, Hartt will return to UFC action against German, Dennis Siver.
