Chase Gormley (born x, x) is an American professional mixed martial artist training out of the Bodyshop Fitness Team.

He stands 6 ft. 3 in. (191 cm) tall and fights in the heavyweight division at approximately 265 lbs..

Gormley is a King of the Cage veteran and currently fights as a heavyweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Chase Gormley made his professional mixed martial arts debut on April 27, 2007 at a King of the Cage event. He defeated his opponent, Jon Murphy, via unanimous decision after two rounds.

Three months later, Gormley earned his first submission win when ankle locked John Devine at a Gladiator Challenge event.

He followed those two victories with three more stoppage victories to close out 2007.

In May, 2009, Gormley notched his sixth professional victory as he shutout Eric Pele in a Canada based event to take a unanimous decision.

UFC

In 2009, it was announced that Gormley had been picked up by Affliction Entertainment to face off against Ben Rothwell at their third event, Affliction: Trilogy. However, when the show's main event went tits up it was cancelled by the sinking promotion. That marked the end of Affliction as an event promoter who immediately reconnected with the UFC. In the process some fighter contracts were transferred over which ultimately led to Gormley vs. Rothwell being rescheduled for UFC 104 in October.
