Chan Sung "The Korean Zombie" Jung (born March 17, 1987) is a Korean professional mixed martial artist training out of CMA Korea.

He stands 5 ft. 9 in. (176 cm) tall and fights in the featherweight division (143 lbs.).

Jung is a Pancrase and DEEP vetern. He currently fights as a featherweight (143 lbs.) for World Victory Road's, Sengoku promotion.

Early Career

Chan Sung Jung made his professional mixed martial arts debut at the Super Sambo Festival on June 24, 2007. He submitted fellow Korean, Hyung Geol Lee with an armbar midway through the second round to earn his first career victory.

Six months later, Jung was a competitor in Pancrase's one night four-man 2007 Korea Neo-Blood Tournament. Jung defeated semi final opponent, In Seok Yoo via rear naked choke before moving onto the final later that night where he stopped opponent, Hyung Geol Lee in a rematch via TKO in the 3:27 of round 1.

In August of 2008, Jung moved into the DEEP organization where he faced UFC veteran, Michihiro Omigawa in his debut. Jung defeated Omigawa via unanimous decision after two rounds.

At DEEP: 39th Impact, Jung knocked out Fanjin Son with punches in just 17 seconds to improve his record to 5-0.

Sengoku

In early 2009, Jung was announced as one of 16 featherweight (143 lbs.) competitors for Japan based, Sengoku's 16-man featherweight tournament. He faced off against Japanese qualifier, Shintaro Ishiwatari in the opening round at Sengoku: Seventh Battle. In a fast paced and exciting bout, Jung showed his intentions early to swing hard and often. After knocking down Ishiwatari early, the pair returned to their feet. Jung unleashed his hands again which forced Ishiwatari to give up his back which Jung seized and immediately applied a rear naked choke that forced the tap and then consciousness from Ishiwatari at 4:29 of round 1.

Jung will face off against Japanese fighter, Masanori Kanehara in the quarter finals of the tournament at Sengoku: Eighth Battle on May 2, 2009.
