Early Career

Brian Foster began his professional martial arts career on July 14, 2006 for the Masters of the Cage promotion. His debut came as part of a one night, four man tournament and he earned victory in his first fight as he knocked out Deric Harris in just over a minute.

His first loss would come later that night as he was submitted by Jeff Davis in the final.

Foster avenged the loss just over a month later when he turned the tables and submitted Davis in the third round.

Foster's would lose his second professional bout in September in just 29 seconds when he was submitted by Anthony Waldburger.

A first round TKO of Davis in his next bout gave him bragging rights in their trilogy.

He followed the Davis victory with four straight victories that stretched until June of 2008. His streak was ended by Diego Bradao via vicious first round knockout.

After a kimura submission win to close out 2008, Foster began 2009 with two lightning fast knockouts as he starched Mike Jackson in five seconds and then Kyle Baker in 59.

UFC

Midway through 2009, it was announced that the UFC had signed Foster to be the first opponent for recent British addition, Paul Daley at UFC 103.
