Profile

Amir Sadollah (born August 27, 1980) is an American professional mixed martial artist who curently trains out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.

He stands 5 ft. 11 in. and weighs approximately 185 lbs.

He was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 7 and currently fights as middleweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).


Amateur Career

Bronx born, Virginia raised Amir Sadollah began his amateur fighting career on December, 11, 2004 at Combat Sports Challenge 3: East Coast Brawl, held in Woodbridge, Virginia. It took Sadollah only 0:58 for him to secure his first win, a Triangle Choke on Steven Stotz.

The remainder of Amir's amateur bouts also took place under the Combat Sports Challenge banner. His fights in the Virginia-based promotion included a unanimous decision against Charles Crenshaw, a Triangle Choke victory over Chris Cape and a TKO win when he fought Ivan Fanton.

The Ultimate Fighter

Having compiled a perfect amateur record of 4-0, Sadollah moved on to tougher challenges, and qualified for season seven of The Ultimate Fighter. Upon reaching the UFC training center, Amir and his fellow TUF contestants were forced to fight in order to earn a place inside the house, and remain on the show.

After submitting Steve Brynes, and winning his way onto the cast Sadollah was first paired with Gerald Harris. Harris controlled the first round, scoring with slams. In the second round Amir turned the tide, and won the match with a TKO, advancing in the season seven tournament.

Sadollah continued to finish his opponents, next beating Matt Brown by Triangle Choke. After the coaches, Quinton Jackson, and Forrest Griffin consultation with Dana White, Amir is pit against C.B. Dollaway in the semi-final bracket. In the third round of the semi-final battle Sadollah was able to secure an Armbar on, and the victory over, C.B. Dollaway.

With Jesse Taylor defeating Tim Credeur, Taylor is named as Amir's last foe on TUF. However, a lunatic spree of chaotic drunkenness as well as hijinx ensue, and Taylor is kicked off the show. C.B. then beat Tim Credeur in a bout to determine who would face Amir in the Ultimate Fighter Finale.

On June, 21, 2008 Amir Sadollah made his professional debut, entering the Octagon in order to face C.B. Dollaway for a second time. At 3:02 of the very first round Sadollah once again captured Dollaway's arm, and forced him to tap out to an Armbar. Amir Sadollah was then named The Season Seven Ultimate Fighter.

Nick Catone is currently scheduled to be Amir's next opponent. The bout should take place at UFC 91.
