Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson (born January 15, 1987) is a Swedish professional mixed martial artist training out of Stockholm Shooters.

He stands 6 ft. 5 in. (196 cm) tall and fights in the light heavyweight division (205 lbs.).

Gustafsson currently competes as a light heavyweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Alexander Gustafsson made his professional mixed martial arts debut at a Shooto event held in Finland on November 17, 2007. He scored a second round rear naked choke submission win over Saku Heikola to successfully kick off his career.

After finishing off 2007 with a :50 knockout win over Mikael Haydari, Gustafsson went an impressive 5-0 in 2008, with only one bout going the distance.

In May, 2009, Gustafsson pushed his record to an unblemished 8-0 when he flattened Vladimir Shemarov with punches midway through the first round.

UFC

Midway through 2009 it was announced that Gustafsson had signed with the UFC and will make his debut at UFC 105 in November against EliteXC veteran and UFC newcomer, Jared Hamman.
