Aaron "A-Train" Simpson (born July 20, 1974) is an American professional mixed martial artist and two-time NCAA All-American Wrestler training out of Arizona Combat Sports.

He stands 6 ft. (183 cm) tall and fights in the middleweight division (185 lbs.).

Simpson is a WEC veteran and currently fights as a middleweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Early Career

Aaron Simpson made his professional mixed martial arts debut on the back of a highly decorated amateur wrestling career on October 5, 2007 for the Proving Grounds promotion. He stopped his opponent, Tim Coulson with strikes at 3:44 of round 1.

Simpson picked up two more TKO victories to start of 2008 before signing with the ZUFFA owned and controlled, World Extreme Cagefighting later in the year.

He made his WEC debut at WEC 36 against David Avellan and scored an impressive victory as he knocked Avellan cold with a punch just 18 seconds into the fight.

UFC

Simpson was transferred over into the UFC's middleweight division following ZUFFA's decision to fold the WEC's middleweight and welterweight classes into the UFC. He made his UFC debut on the undercard of UFC Fight Night 18 against fellow WEC veteran, Tim McKenzie. Simpson looked impressive as he stopped McKenzie with punches in 1:40 of round 1.
